Tuesday, 17th March,

New Orleans Wanderers (formerly Gambit)

The Gambit Jazzmen were always very popular with the Bay Jazz Club giving us great afternoons of jazz. However with their much loved drummer, Pete Lay, passing away last year the band has reformed as the New Orleans Wanderers.

All the original members of the band are still playing their style of New Orleans Hot Jazz and Tony Scrivens has stepped onto the drumming seat.

So the line up for this visit is Alan Gresty trumpet, John Maddocks on clarinet and sax, Iain McAulay playing trombone, the legendary John Arthy on bass, Andy Maynard on banjo and Tony Scrivens at the drum seat.

Expect another afternoon of very good jazz.
